More and more, consumers are demanding that their homes are built with an eye to saving not only money but, more importantly, the well being of the inhabitants by only using materials that make the home healthier to live and breathe in. Thus, there has been a surge over the past year or two in builders scrambling to provide what customers are asking for, with more technicians that are certified in dealing with the barrage of new products and technologies. Further, there is no indication that this trend will slow. Builders can no longer do things the old way, but need to think about how to make a home conform to energy conserving and efficient standards, now known as green.
